Things got real in the winter of 2017. I was in the thick of parenting 11-month-old baby twins. This shit was getting HARD. My tiny humans had gone from sleepy, transportable newborns into needy, demanding crawlers.

And there was something that was in limited supply that they suddenly wanted more than anything in the world. My attention. I was already exhausted, overwhelmed, and brain dead after attending to all of their physical needs day and night. And now my babies were getting more vocal about their emotional needs—and Daddy just wouldn’t cut it for them. (I know you know what I mean).

I felt guilty that there wasn’t enough of me to go around.

How could I meet my babies’ very real needs for individual attention? Not to mention, ensure they would have the kind of input from me they would need to thrive in their development.

After pulling my hair out for weeks, I finally figured out that by investing just 10 minutes a day of quality, intentional, one-on-one play time per baby gave me happier, less demanding, and more confident babies.
